Nestled in the heart of Suffolk Park, The Park Restaurant offers a vibrant dining experience that perfectly captures the relaxed yet refined coastal charm of New South Wales. Specializing in contemporary Australian fare with a focus on fresh, locally inspired flavors, this spot is a beloved destination for both locals and visitors craving hearty, delicious meals in a welcoming atmosphere.
The menu showcases a fantastic array of dishes that appeal to diverse palates, whether you're stopping by for a casual bite or a leisurely dinner. Start with some irresistible Bites N' Shares like the Forest Mushroom Arancini paired with truffle mayo or the Salt & Sichuan Pepper Calamari served alongside a smoky chipotle and lime mayo — each bite bursting with layers of flavor and texture.
Main dishes here are equally inviting. The Creamy Linguine enriched with a white wine cream sauce, fragrant basil pesto, wild rocket, and shaved parmesan creates a silky, herbaceous harmony that lingers delightfully on the palate. For a more robust meal, the Slow-Cooked Beef Ragu over tender tagliatelle is comfort food elevated — rich, hearty, and perfectly balanced. The Panko Crumbed Chicken Schnitzel, served with crisp chips and a mixed salad, offers a golden, crunchy exterior with juicy, flavorful meat within.
Burger lovers will find their match with options like The Suffolk American Burger, Buttermilk Crispy Chicken Burger, and the Byron Bay Vegan Burger, each thoughtfully crafted and generously portioned. The Cape Byron Steak Burger is ideal for those craving a satisfying, meaty indulgence. Complement these with the addictive Potato Wedges dusted in Old Bay seasoning, alongside creamy sour cream and sweet chili jam.
Beyond the food, The Park Restaurant excels in fostering a relaxed, inclusive atmosphere that keeps guests coming back. The mostly outdoor setting, often filled with the gentle sea breeze and soothing sounds of live local music, creates a laid-back yet lively vibe. Ample indoor seating and a kids’ play area make it a perfect spot for families. Generous parking availability just adjacent to the venue adds a practical convenience rare in the busy Byron Bay region.

Went 3 nights in a row. Happy with all meals. Calamari was tender and generous portion. Linguine ragu tasty. Mexican Monday specials were great: beef burrito, fish tacos and jalapeño poppers. Caesar salad and steak, the last night. Excellent value and quick service away from the madding crowd of Byron Bay. Highly recommend.

Very nice mostly outdoor bar and grill. We stopped by on the way home from the beach and there was an abundance of seating mostly covered outdoors. Ample parking in the adjacent lot. Food is typical bar food, fish and chips, sandwiches but done very nicely and large portions. Bottle Shop in the same area for stocking up for the evenings festivities.

Struggling to get into Byron Bay and get a park, we ended up popping into here for lunch. Nice in-door or out door eating options, free parking, friendly staff and prompt service. We got a couple of kids meals and two main meals. The caesar salad was amazing and the buttermilk chicken burger was great. Chips were a little salty but not too bad. Definitely recommend a visit.

Nice cold beer. Food looks ok. I’ll get one in the next few days. Nice atmosphere. Plenty of locals. Live music. Normal meal prices, plus specials. Some staff were very friendly. Open plan that even the local wildlife like. Give it a go I say. Just had my dinner here Sunday night. Live music by local singer, songwriter, guitarist Josh Lee Hamilton. Just brilliant. Had the prawn linguine with cherry tomatoes, long red chilli and rocket. Big serving with five big tiger prawn. All ingredients were fresh and flavourful. Great service. Managed to get my meat in 15mins, and the restaurant was packed. I’ll be back.
